Ah, Stockholm! The city of all things stunning and magical! But how about we take a different route and focus on some places that will give you immense joy that are not that popular. Are you in?
Let's begin with an interesting and quite a breathtaking route around the Lake Mälaren. Don’t you think it would be nice and bright ‘out of the box’ choreography? Image a warm and sunny day, a metro bearing on the red and green lines crisscrossing the central station, and finally bringing one to the Blackeberg station the start point of the adventure!
Once you get out of the metro elevator, instead of turning right, turn left and believe me, you will not regret it! Head south along the route, and before long, you will come across a peaceful park that will help you forget all about the city.
After walking along the trail, you shall find the splendid Ljunglöfska castle located beside the lake of Mälaren. Isn’t it like a fairy tale? So, come on, let us go on an adventure to the cities of Stockholm and have the best of time!
Do not dread the winter season! In fact, there’s a beautiful experience that awaits you just behind the castle. Take the route on your right and enjoy the stunning views of the lake Mälaren. It is as if one has been moved to a fairy-tale beautiful snow-covered landscape!
Just wait, it gets more interesting. If you continue to go west, you'll find Kvarnvikens Båtsällskap. Do not take the right turn onto the main road, but instead turn left and go on until you get to Kanaanbadet; which, by the way, is the best beach on Mälaren lake!
Imagine, the city is just few metro stations from you but you are in the nature. Check the images below and prove me wrong.
And what is more, after that refreshing stroll, one can easily spoil themselves with some indulgence. Proceed to Kanaans trädgårdscafe which is a small place tucked away just above the shore. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in this decorated bastions while pampering their little softies with a few baked delicacies.
Hence, winter should not be a cause of depression. Welcome the nature and go for an amazing experience!
