The country has absolutely no shortage of airports; there are 3 international airports and even an airport dedicated for domestic uses. Amazing right?! 😊

There are lots of options available as far as air travel to this country is concerned. The largest air gate is located in the capital city Tbilisi and is also known as Shota Rustaveli, after the country’s most celebrated writer. The other two international airports are located in Batumi and Kutaisi, which are great in their own ways. Last but not least, we can mention Queen Tamar Airport located in Mestia region, which is the most suitable for domestic flights!

Speaking of which, if you wish to be budget savvy, then I would recommend landing in Kutaisi. Especially with such promotional fares offered by budget airlines such as Wizz Air, and with almost all European countries being well connected to them. But even if I can not land in Kutaisi, it is OK. I can always land in Batumi or Tbilisi.

And when you are in Georgia just be prepared for a lot of activities to do! There are so many ways to start your journey whether it is from Kutaisi, Batumi or Tbilisi. It doesn't really matter where you begin the fun. So take your clothing, socialize with your passport and come to Georgia.

I would recommend booking a car rental beforehand to ensure that you will get the most out of your travels. The airport is a good place to begin, as this allows one to travel wherever and whenever without restrictions. Personally, I would suggest going for a 4x4 all-terrain vehicle as it's most suitable for driving up at the mountains!

As you begin your trip, the path takes you to Zugdidi, a picturesque town located at the base of the Caucasus Mountains. Beware of loveable pets on the way, especially at night. The road may be blocked by a few pigs, cows, and buffaloes fast asleep. How cute is that? 😊

On reaching Zugdidi, it is recommended to sit back and have a meal at one of the most traditional places of the town, ‘Diaroni’ restaurant. The food is very nice, the wine is superb, the scene is great too! Should you wish to spend the night, I can suggest LETO Boutique Hotel, which is very centrally located, has a beautiful terrace overlooking the city and the whole of Zugdidi and the Caucasus!

Are you feeling a little tired after your drive? No problem! Go for a short walk in the adjacent botanical garden which is situated just across the road, from Diaroni. The centre of the garden has a lake which is beautiful and will take you to an enchanted forest.

Invigorated and ready to go, it's time to head toward the Caucasus Mountains once again. Brace yourself for an experience of a lifetime!

For those looking at ski resorts in Tetnuldi, Mestia is the place to stay! There are not many places available in Tetnuldi, but Mestia is wonderful located in the beautiful region of svaneti. Indeed, you will fall in love with its natural artistic features.

Just as a friendly warning: The road leading up the hill after the Jvari bridge may be a bit challenging. But do not fret, for just a few kilometers further down the road, lies a sight to behold: the Enguri Dam! The dam is the largest hydro power plant and the second tallest concrete arch in the world at 271.5 meters situated in Georgia, and it has the tallest one, in majority of other countries. And if that is not enough there is also a beautiful lake nearby where great pictures can be taken.

Once you reach the summit, the awe-inspiring Svaneti towers will be all around you. It feels as if you have been transported into the past in a good way. In other words, do not think twice, book your trip to Mestia right now and prepare for so much fun!

It is impossible for you to miss a lot of natural beauty, which will be stored in your mind for ages. So throw in a few things in your duffel bag, put on your skis and brace yourself for the most exciting holidays in Georgia!

Tetnuldi Ski Center is not the only ski offering in this region as you even have a ski center in Mestia whereby the ski lift is very near the town center!!!
