Process Automation, Water Infrastructure, Seventeen Years on Site

I am Nikola Marinko, Head of Process Automation Projects for Digital Industry at Siemens Serbia. The job before this one was on site, and so was the one before that. Electrical, instrumentation and automation delivery on water and wastewater infrastructure across Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Turkiye and Sweden, first as site engineer, later as project manager, contractor's representative and director. 17+ years, twelve projects delivered end to end in 5+ countries of project delivery, and a PMP picked up somewhere in the middle of it.

This site is those projects and the years around them. Each project page says what the plant does, where the real constraint sat, and what my own scope covered, which is usually the part that gets left out of a project summary. The field stories are the other half of the same years, 20+ destinations across 6 countries, written from inside the job rather than from a guidebook. The portfolio puts the career in order if that is what you came for, and the engineering blog is where the lessons end up.
